Our Team

Clinical Director/Lead Occupational Therapist

Megan V., OTD, OTR/L

Megan has been an OT for over 22 years. She graduated from USC with her bachelor’s, masters, and in the inaugural doctorate class in Occupational Therapy. She is Sensory Integration and SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Test) certified. She is also trained in austronaut training, therapeutic listening, and pediatric feeding. Working with babies as young as preemies in the NICU, to children up to 18 years old, she can connect and build a therapeutic relationship with them all.

Pediatrics (and children) have always been her passion. Throughout her years of pediatric practice, Megan has worked in early intervention, schools, and sensory integration clinics.

Megan’s favorite part of her career is building relationships with families. As a mother of 4 raising her kids in West LA, Megan can relate to families more empathetically, and really understands development from first hand experience. She knows exactly what is required of our children and can help these children be best prepared for their next step in their little lives.

Katelyn E., MA, OTR/L

Katelyn has joined play. grow. thrive. in 2025 as a new graduate. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t come with experience though! Katelyn was a preschool teacher and director for 15 years here in southern california. Her niece was born with developmental delays and was her first introduction to any kind of child who required specialized services. She took that experience and wove it into her roles as clinical director and head teacher of the preschool she was at here in west los angeles and changed the lives of many families. She has since made OT her passion and has been a wonderful addition to the team.

Shannon K., Clinical Director

Shannon has had an interest in Occupational Therapy since her daughter was born as a preemie at only 28 weeks. It was these first days with her new daughter that she learned what an OT is and what an important role they make on families lives. She has decided to dedicate herself to the field and actively pursues an education in OT. While she’s going to graduate school, she also acts as our clinical director overseeing all of our programming, fieldwork students/interns, insurance billing, and scheduling. Not only do we all love to hear about the newest research that excites her from her classwork, but her extensive love of sushi has us all interested and making group meetings to try new things. Shannon is such a welcome addition to the PGT team!

Shannon W., Volunteer

Shannon is actually the sibling to one of our current clients. She often brings her sister to her OT sessions and has been so involved in her therapy and continuing outside of the play. grow. thrive. walls that she asked to volunteer with her (limited) free time. Shannon is actually in medical school here in southern california but is loving her role in this allied health profession. Her patience, determination and persistence make her a wonderful assest here at the play. grow. thrive. team!

Our team can’t wait to help your kids play, grow, and thrive!
